April 3 - April 30
National Poetry Month 2026 marks its 30th anniversary this April (April 1–30), organized by the Academy of American Poets. Learn more at Poets.org.
Visit The Poet’s Corner—located upstairs in the library—a space dedicated to honoring retired Dean Emerita Phyllis Carito’s commitment to creative writing. Explore our permanent poetry display and contribute your own work or a favorite poem to the community binder.
The library also features a signed copy of Mothernest by retired C-GCC English Professor Sandy Longley. Be sure to pick up a pocket poetry bookmark created by Elyse Browne.
Stay tuned for an upcoming event celebrating Dean Emerita Phyllis Carito’s newest book.
