Office of Career Success

First, schedule a meeting with your Academic Advisor, who can help with choosing a major and a career path, including one-on-one  sessions that provide counseling and resources designed to clarify and meet your goals. Then, the Student Success Center (SSC) can help with more detailed information about local career options, additional self-assessment and career planning tools, job shadows, and internships. Individual sessions and group workshops are offered throughout the semesters and during the January break.

The Student Success Center (SSC) provides individual coaching on a wide variety of career topics and job-search skills, including assistance with career change. For questions, students can email workforce@sunycgcc.edu.

Columbia-Greene uses College Central Network® as its official résumé and job posting service. The exclusive site can be accessed 24/7 at www.collegecentral.com/sunycgcc.

Students and alumni can:

  • Quickly apply to jobs and internship opportunities posted exclusively and search other opportunities via Jobs Central® and Intern Central®, national job boards.
  • Create and upload résumés and career portfolios to make available to employers.
  • Access our career events calendar, plus career/job search advice documents, podcasts, videos, and more.

Columbia-Greene recognizes the value of learning outside the classroom — and we have a process to help you earn credit for what you already know.
