Peer Tutoring is available to all Columbia-Greene students at no cost!
Tutoring sessions are intended to support learning, understanding and practicing of course content. Tutoring is available individually or in small groups. Appointments can be held on campus in the SSC or via zoom using the Virtual Student Success Center.
Note that the availability for tutoring in subjects varies for each tutor.

Academic coaches are available to help students tackle collegiate challenges by developing skills, behaviors, and habits that help students reach their full potential. They can work with students to develop an individualized study plan based on their learning styles, strengths, and areas for growth.
A coach can help students navigate college life, understand student support resources available, and engage with students in supportive communication. They can help with understanding college policy and procedures, accessing appropriate college and community services, and with educational goal-setting and problem-solving. Coaches will work with students on a variety of needs including but not limited to test-taking strategies, time management skills, note-taking skills, finding campus resources, and more.
Students don’t need to wait until they have a problem to seek academic coaching- take an offensive strategy and create a strong plan from the start.
SSC Workshop Series – The Student Success Center hosts a workshop series each semester. Students can attend workshops in person or through zoom using the Virtual SSC in Brightspace.
Khan Academy – Khan Academy has a lessons and practice questions in a wide range of subject areas for college level courses and K-12. Note anything listed as an AP Course is college level.
Purdue OWL – The online writing lab offers global support through online reference materials and services for creating citations, major-specific writing help, cover letters, and general writing advice. This is a great resource for APA, MLA, Chicago guides and information on avoiding plagiarism.
C-GCC Lib Guides – The College library has research guides for most courses.

Students can borrow a calculator and/or laptop from the Student Success Center. Use the form below to request a device for a semester.
Calculators and laptops are loaned on a first come, first serve basis. After completing the form, you will be notified via college email with further instructions if one is available for you.
Loans are based on course enrollment for the semester but can be renewed. Students do not need to pay to borrow materials but are responsible for replacing a device if it is lost, damaged, or otherwise not returned. See the loan agreements from the Student Success Center for more details.
The laptop loan program is supported by donations to the Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation.
