Columbia-Greene Community College celebrates Class of 2026

240 graduates crossed the stage at Columbia–Greene; graduates are from all parts of the Empire State as well as far away as California

HUDSON, N.Y. (May 28, 2026) – Columbia–Greene Community College has concluded its 56th commencement on campus in Hudson, celebrating the Class of 2026.

This year’s class – totaling 240 – comes from all parts of New York State, as well as one graduate from California (who earned their Police Basic Training Undergraduate Certificate). A large portion of graduates come from cities, towns, and villages within both Columbia and Greene counties.

“The class of 2026 is truly an outstanding group of dreamers and doers, bold thinkers, action-oriented, and ready for the next chapter of their lives, whether that is to enter the workforce or to continue their academic journey,” said Dr. Victoria L. Walsh, president of Columbia–Greene Community College. “As this is my first commencement ceremony as president, this class will have a special meaning for me personally. On behalf of our board, the faculty, and staff of Columbia–Greene, I congratulate each and every one of our graduates.”

Commencement started on Wednesday, May 6 with the graduation of the Police Basic Training Program candidates. Following this, on Thursday, May 14 the College held its nursing pinning ceremony, commemorating the completion of studies for the college’s nursing program. On Saturday, May 16, the college held its commencement ceremony inside the gymnasium in the Main Building on campus, where graduates in all degree and certificate programs were celebrated by family, friends, and community members.
