Meet the President

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

From its origins more than five decades ago, Columbia-Greene Community College has been the portal for thousands of students to begin or continue their college journey. Educating people of all ages from diverse backgrounds, C-GCC focuses on improving the quality of life for everyone who enters its doors.

At C-GCC’s campus in the scenic Twin Counties, you’ll find an amazing energy. In our corridors you can feel the pulse of learning, as students and faculty alike engage in lively conversation and debate. Here women and men puzzle out the issues that shape our world – from technology to terrorism, religious persecution to social justice.

You’ll also discover that C-GCC offers a robust lineup of extracurricular pursuits including student clubs, organizations, and cultural activities – and the Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation works tirelessly to provide financial assistance to students with need.

As you peruse C-GCC’s website, you’ll see the rich array of opportunities the College provides in allied health and nursing, arts and humanities, automotive technology, business, computer science, construction technology, criminal justice, education, human services and social science, math and science, and individual studies. Whatever your career goal, you’ll be taught by first-rate faculty who demonstrate a passion for teaching and active learning.

Let’s go, CoGreene! I look forward to seeing you on campus!
