Testing

The Student Success Center (SSC) serves as a make-up testing space throughout the semester and administers placement tests and challenge exams, as determined appropriate by Admissions and Academic Advising.

All testing administered and proctored by the SSC requires prescheduled appointments.

Testing accommodations are approved for students with disabilities through the Office of Accessibility Services.  Inquiries should be sent to oasweb@sunycgcc.edu prior to the testing session

Placement tests help colleges and workforce training providers gauge student readiness for required coursework and identify areas where students may need additional support to succeed.

Your Accuplacer test scores and prior academic history will be considered in consultation with your advisor when you register for your first semester English and math courses.

Placement testing services are offered Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m.

The test is untimed, but plan to allow yourself roughly three hours for your appointment.

Any students requesting testing accommodations should schedule their tests through the Office of Accessibility Services – oasweb@sunycgcc.edu.

Please consult with your advisor before scheduling any placement testing. Thank you.

Columbia-Greene offers Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) testing for any student seeking State financial aid (including TAP) for the first time if the student does not possess a U.S. high school diploma or its recognized equivalent.

Not sure if you need the ATB Test? Contact Admissions at admissions@sunycgcc.edu.
