Press Release: Columbia-Greene Welcomes Two New Vice Presidents

New Appointees Include an Experienced Capital Region Educator and a

Seasoned Financial Executive


HUDSON – After extensive search processes, Columbia-Greene Community College hired two new Vice Presidents to fill vacancies incurred earlier this year.

Dr. Victoria Walsh assumed the role of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Student Development, and Strategic Initiatives. An experienced educator and executive-level leader in higher education, Dr. Walsh has served in a number of positions including Senior Vice President, Chief and Strategic Planning Officer, Chief Advancement Officer, and Assistant Professor. Originally from Sunderland in the United Kingdom, she earned two bachelor’s degrees with honors and a master’s degree from University of Durham; a post graduate certificate in Education from Newcastle University; and a doctor of education degree from Maryville University. Dr. Walsh began her appointment on October 9, 2023.

Amanda Bishop began her role as Columbia-Greene’s new VP for Administration and Finance / CFO in mid-November 2023. Prior to her current role, she served as the College’s Assistant Director of Accounting since July 2022. Before joining the Columbia-Greene team, Bishop served ten years as the Controller for Camphill Village and was a Human Resource Manager for Styles Logistics and Harney and Sons Tea. A Columbia-Greene alumna, she earned a bachelor of science in finance and a master of public administration in non-profit management from Marist College. She also is a Notary Public and an ADP Payroll Expert.
