Accreditation

Columbia-Greene Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166, Wilmington, DE 19801; www.msche.org. The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Columbia-Greene Community College had its accreditation reaffirmed on June 22, 2023, following a comprehensive self-study and a successful evaluation visit. The College’s Automotive Technology curriculum is accredited by (ASE) the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundationas M.A.S.T. Programs (Master Automotive Service Training).

Columbia-Greene’s Medical Assisting A.A.S. program is one of a select few programs in the region to receive accredited program status with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).


The curricula offered by Columbia-Greene Community College are approved by the State University of New Yorkand registered by the New York State Education Department. The college is authorized to award the degrees of Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, and Associate in Occupational Studies, as well as certificates established by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York.
