The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, the Director of Institutional Effectiveness supports Columbia-Greene’s data-informed decision-making process by conducting advanced research, analysis, and reporting. This role involves compiling and analyzing data related to enrollment, student outcomes, program effectiveness, and other key institutional metrics. The Director plays a key role in generating insights that inform strategic planning, accreditation processes, and policy development. Key responsibilities include:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct data validation and ensure data integrity in all reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data related to various institutional priorities (e.g., enrollment trends, retention, graduation rates, etc.).
  • Produce regular reports and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders utilizing dashboards and other visual data tools to present complex data in accessible formats.
  • Collect and analyze data to satisfy federal, state, and local reporting requirements (e.g., IPEDS, NYSED, SUNY).
  • Support data collection and reporting requirements for institutional accreditation processes.

Survey Design and Administration:

  • Design, administer, and analyze surveys for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Use survey results to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Prepare summaries and reports based on survey findings.

Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness:

  • Provide support for institutional strategic planning by analyzing historical trends and forecasting future outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor institutional effectiveness.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to compare institutional performance with peer institutions.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand data needs and provide consultation on data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Work closely with IT and other campus departments to optimize data systems and processes for efficient reporting.

Additional Duties:

  • Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned by senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, economics, education, social sciences, or related discipline).
  • 5 years of experience in institutional research, data analysis, or related areas.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, STATA, or similar statistical software).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with survey software (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
  • Strong knowledge of higher education data sets (e.g., IPEDS, NYSED, etc.).

The Opportunity

The Executive Director of the Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation is the chief administrator responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive and integrated fundraising program compatible with the College’s Strategic Plan. In conjunction with the President, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Foundation Board, the Executive Director constructs the strategy for and leads the execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and stewardship activities that create meaningful connections and build donor relationships to secure, retain, and grow philanthropic support.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Leadership and Management

  • Ability to clearly articulate the Foundation’s vision and mission to all stakeholders
  • Cultivates an effective working relationship with the Executive Leadership Team of the College to ensure their engagement in philanthropic strategy, operations, and support.
  • Recruits and supervises activities and evaluates performance of Foundation staff.
  • Works with the College President to enhance strategic alignment between the two entities. Partners with the College President in managing a portfolio of top donors and community relations.

Strategic Planning and Program Oversight

  • Prepares and implements an annual and multi-year operating plan for the Foundation including goals and other metrics in accordance with the College’s strategic plan.
  • Explore various forms of revenue generation and fundraising including applying to other foundations and for grants which support the mission of the College.

Financial Management

  • Prepares and manages the Foundation’s operating budget, cashflow and safeguards assets under the guidance of the Foundation Board.
  • Works with the Finance & Investment Committee of the Foundation Board to ensure oversight of the Foundation’s Investment Portfolio and adherence with the Investment Policy.
  • Works closely with the College’s finance office to manage financial processes, establish internal controls, including oversight of the annual audit.
  • Provides monthly and quarterly financial reports on Foundation activities including oversight of preparations of the Foundations’ financial statements.
  • Provides reports on fundraising progress and prospect management planning. Measures fundraising progress against benchmarks and makes program adjustments regularly.
  • Builds and manages the Foundation’s budget for annual giving and events to maximize return on investment

Liaison with College and Office of Financial Aid

  • Coordinates with the Office of Financial Aid to ensure accurate and timely awarding of scholarships. Ensures appropriate stewardship materials are developed.
  • Ensures Scholarship funding needs are integrated into the Foundation’s budget and cashflow forecasts.

Fundraising,

  • Develops, manages, and implements strategies for the Foundation’s annual giving campaign.
  • Cultivates, solicits, and stewards a portfolio of high-potential annual giving prospects and forges strong relationships to influence and maximize contributions.
  • Develops and leads stewardship plan for donor recognition, including timely outreach, mailings, calls, and events related to acknowledgement beyond the expected tax letter. Engages Foundation staff, College leadership, and volunteers as appropriate.
  • Manages all aspects of alumni and community giving, including cultivating and soliciting alumni as appropriate and identifying and coordinating engagement opportunities with the College.

Programs and Activities

  • Plans Foundation special events, including goals, budget, sponsorship levels, acquisition, and promotion. Hires appropriate personnel to oversee logistics and day-to-day details.
  • Collaborates with the President and campus administrators to assess and prepare a list of needs and opportunities for fundraising support.

 Community Relations and Communications

  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships in the Columbia and Greene Communities; including with other non-profit entities, local businesses and community organizations
  • Collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communication to develop materials for fundraising and engagement across a variety of platforms including print, digital, and social media channels.

Board Relations and Board Development

  • Coordinates administration of the Foundation Board in consultation with Board and College leadership, including supporting the work of the Foundation Committees.
  • Assists in recruiting key volunteers and Foundation Board members.

Operations and Technology

  • Ensures appropriate operating policies and procedures and IT systems are in place to assist in day to day operations and donor management.

Compliance and Best Practices

  • Ensure the Foundation is operating in compliance with all regulations and reporting requirements of SUNY, NY State or any other regulatory body or organization.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned to support the Foundation and the College President.

Membership of College Committees and participation in the shared governance structure of the institution, as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, philanthropy, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

5-7 years of progressive responsibility in philanthropy.

Experience working with boards, non-profit boards preferred.

Experience in higher education philanthropy is desired.

The Opportunity

The Office of Human Resources is seeking a full-time, Senior Director of Accounting who will report directly to the Vice President for Administration/Chief Financial Officer. The Senior Director will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting, budgeting and analyses of the College and other related entities.

The Senior Director of Accounting will provide accounting and financial reporting expertise to the College and will ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and college regulations and policies with a commitment to best practice and the highest ethical standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing and recording the College’s financial activities in the general ledger and related journals, including financial reports.
  • Responsible for annual budget build with CFO.
  • Proposes and monitors accounting procedures and systems of internal accounting control.
  • Monitors all cash activity/transactions, including AP activity, via a daily cash book and performs month end bank reconciliations, and act as point of contact with the banks.
  • Prepares for the preparation of the College’s monthly and year-end financial statements.
  • Manages the annual financial audit
  • Assist CFO with long- and short-term budget planning and serves as the primary liaison for all financial audits performed by internal or external entities.
  • Assures protection for the assets of the College through internal control procedures.
  • Supervises Accounting Team consisting of Accounts Payable/Purchasing, Director of Accounting for Auxiliary Servies, and Payroll.
  • Works with appropriate levels of management to recommend corrective action plans to ensure achievement of budget, and support cost effective business and internal control processes.
  • Acts as administrator of the Banner Finance General Ledger module, including the maintenance of chart of accounts, granting security access to users, assisting users with self-service functions, and resolving technical problems.
  • Prepares various financial reports and schedules, including the monthly financial report to the Board of Trustees, SUNY Reporting, and IPEDS directed by CFO.
  • Serves on various College committees and/or external committees.
  • Represents the VP of Administration and Finance/CFO in their absences, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA (and/or CPA); minimum five years progressively responsible experience.
  • Computer proficiency necessary and a high competency level with Excel and other MS Suite are essential.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President of Student Success, the Reconnect Enrollment Navigator serves as a proactive guide and advocate for adult learners (ages 25–55) returning to college through the SUNY Reconnect initiative. The Navigator provides individualized support to prospective and returning students by helping them explore academic programs, complete admissions and financial aid processes, and successfully transition back into higher education. This position plays a critical role in removing barriers, connecting students to resources, and ensuring a smooth re-entry to college.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted outreach to adult learners who have earned some college credits but have not completed a degree.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for SUNY Reconnect students from inquiry through enrollment.
  • Conduct virtual or in-person onboarding sessions to review degree pathways, credit for prior learning, transfer credit, and available support services.
  • Assist students with admissions, placement, registration, and financial aid applications (FAFSA, TAP, scholarships).
  • Connect students to financial literacy and other campus resources as needed.
  • Coordinate with academic advisors, faculty, and student services to support a smooth transition and first-year success.
  • Track student progress from inquiry through the first year, providing consistent follow-up and intervention as needed.
  • Identify barriers to persistence (e.g., childcare, transportation, housing, food insecurity) and coordinate solutions with campus and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate records in student information and CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, admissions, financial aid, and student services to streamline processes for adult learners.
  • Advocate for adult learners by identifying and elevating systemic barriers to college leadership.
  • Participate in professional development and SUNY Reconnect training sessions.

Qualifications

Required:

The Opportunity

The Senior Technical Support Specialist for IT is a full-time role employed through SUNY ITEC and based at Columbia-Greene Community College. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this position provides advanced technical support, maintains IT systems, and assists users across campus.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support as needed for campus users, infrastructure and equipment
  • Carry out technical and physical tasks involving configuration and distribution of computers
  • Manage help desk and department work through the campus ticket system
  • Manage select administrative applications on servers and workstations
  • Assist in management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wired network and Wi-Fi infrastructure

Columbia-Greene Community College is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursing Faculty & Program Coordinator to lead our Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program. The LPN curriculum is designed as an evening-weekend option, with the first cohort for the program beginning January 2025. The successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in nursing and be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York. This key position involves oversight of the LPN program, the teaching of courses to develop the next generation of nursing professionals and supporting the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health in oversight of faculty teaching in the LPN program. The successful candidate will be available to begin as soon as possible at the conclusion of the search process.

The Opportunity

The Health Professions Division of Columbia-Greene Community College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Nursing faculty member with a master’s degree (minimum) in Nursing to begin in the Spring 2026 semester.  Instructional duties will include lecture, lab, and teaching in the clinical area for LPN and RN programs.  Teaching at off-campus clinical agencies is part of this role.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active, unencumbered NYS RN License (valid as of the date of hire).
  • Master’s degree in nursing, doctorate advantageous.

  • Experience providing instruction, including through clinical simulation, is an advantage.

  • Update existing program and course curriculum. Maintain expertise in current teaching methodologies, technologies, and curricula while developing new instructional materials and techniques to meet the changing needs of students.
  • Assist with the management of student learning outcome (SLO) creation and assessment.
  • Support new and existing local business partnerships that serve the best interest of our students.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance instruction, curriculum, student success, and student completion.
  • Participate in the development and/or selection of course materials, equipment, technology, and distance education that will enhance offerings of the department.

SUNY Columbia-Greene Community College is seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach EKG and Phlebotomy courses. Instructors will deliver comprehensive theoretical, didactic and hands-on laboratory instruction aligned with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)curriculum and state regulations, preparing students to take and pass certification exams. Successful candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population and have the ability to work effectively with students who have barriers to employment. Courses may be taught during the day or evening.  Adjunct instructors for these courses report to the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing course syllabi and creating assessments
  • Presenting lectures/demonstrations and conducting skills labs
  • Maintaining accurate records of student performance and grades.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Practical occupational experience in EKG and/or Phlebotomy
