Student Orientation

We are thrilled to welcome you to Columbia-Greene Community College’s Summer new student events! This summer, we have several events designed to give new or re-enrolled students like you a great kick off to your academic and social experience at the College.

Upcoming Events

Accepted Students Day

Tuesday, August 5: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Whether you need help finalizing your FAFSA, registering for classes, or getting familiar with campus, we’re here to help.

Join us for Accepted Student Day at Columbia-Greene Community College, where you’ll have the chance to explore campus, connect with support services, and get everything set for the fall semester—all at your own pace. Stop by anytime between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 5.

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our friendly Ambassador Desk team (Tessa and Marissa!) and directed to the right place to begin your day. You’ll receive a personal “Taking Care of Business” guide to help you navigate the event, and you can choose to take a campus tour—offered at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, or upon request.

Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to register for classes on the spot and visit open offices, including Financial Aid, Registrar, Health Services, Student Success Center, Advising, and more. All student service areas will remain open until 5:00 PM.

Come whenever it works best for you—there’s no formal schedule, just guaranteed support. Light continental refreshments will be available while you wait.
