Why Study to be a Teaching Assistant?

Teaching Assistants are an essential member of our school communities. As skilled professionals, Teacher Assistants provide educational, logistical, administrative support to faculty and individualized educational and behavioral support to children.

Careers & Outcomes

The Teacher Assistant program at Columbia-Greene provides future K-12 Teacher Assistants with the academic coursework required to earn a Teacher Assistant license in New York. Students will learn how to face unique challenges in today’s educational climate. Upon completion of the certificate program, students will be able to qualify for a teaching assistant position as a para-professional career.
